On Sunday I got to see a dear friend of mine, Dave, who was visiting for a wedding. Unfortunately I was only able to see him for a couple of hours in the evening due to his weekends’ festivities, but it was long overdue and absolutely wonderful to see him.

I thought there could not be a better day to post this, as it is one of my favorite Holidays and Dave partook in one of the best St. Patty’s Day’s I have ever had…oh and he’s one of my favorite humans :) Here’s us 6 years ago in Ft. Myer’s Beach…celebrating with green beer, great people, sunshine, and love.

Back to Sunday…After we ate our delicious burgers and drank our last beer I asked Dave: “what made you smile today?”

His response: “What made me smile today was the fact that today I woke up in Santa Barbara and my friend needed to go to the airport at LAX, so we drove from SB all the way down to Lax, dropped him off, and then we drove from LAX to Reseda on the day of the LA marathon, which everyone said “you can’t do that, why on earth would you do that??”, but we you gotta smile because you gotta do all the things that you want to do. You gotta make your girlfriend happy, she wants to see her best friend-you gotta do that. I want to see one of my really good friends so I’m going to go all the way back from Reseda down to Playa Del Rey to meet everyone, and I did it all. We did it all, on this crazy day when all the streets were supposed to be closed…so…smile, that’s the end. *giggle*"
