wine, beaches, and too many cigs

One of my dearest friends, one of the few that can bring me back to reality when I'm losing it, one of the most amazing people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing came to visit from San Francisco last weekend. We live so close, but somehow life interrupts and we go 6 months without seeing each other.
She is getting married in August and I've got my plate full of life, love, and lots and lots of ideas. haha. Needless to say, we had a lot to catch up on. a lot to dissect. a lot to vent...lots of wine, cigarettes, tattoos, and conversations later the weekend came to a close, but before Diana left I asked her: "what made you smile today?". Her reply was so perfect.
Diana's reply:
“today…uhh. Walking around the reservoir, and thinking of how I’m going to make a million dollars with three great friends. With one app. Haha. Whatever that may be.”
What's amazing about her response is the pure simplicity of it. happy is all around us, literally. remind yourself if you have to but do it. smile. be happy. it all counts.
